Hotel Of Choice

For the 2006 CHCAA Annual Conference, the hotel of choice is the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel. A number of rooms have been reserved at special group rates from Wednesday, October 11 to Saturday, October 14, 2006. The Run of House room rate is $159.00 per night for single or double occupancy rooms.
All rates are subject to applicable taxes, currently 15% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) (dropping to 14% on July 1, 2006) and a 2% Tourism Marketing Levy.
A valid credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Diner Club/En Route or Discover) number and expiration date will be required. Should a guest cancel a reservation, there will be no penalty on the credit card if notice is received by 6 PM on the date of arrival.
Delegates may book on-line via Marriott's website. Please note that when booking on-line, the conference rate is available for the dates of October 11, 12, and 13 only. Should you wish to stay at the hotel before or after the specified conference dates, please contact the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront reservations line to book your room directly by calling toll free at 1-800-943-6760 and providing the reservation agent with the conference name "Canadian Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (CHCAA)." Room type and conference rate for pre- and post-conference dates is subject to availabilty at the time of booking.
All reservations must be received by the hotel by Monday, September 11, 2006 to receive the special group rate and to guarantee an available room!
Overflow Hotel - Delta Barrington
The Delta Barrington is both surrounded by historic ambience and in the core of the business district. It is directly connected to a multitude of restaurants and entertainment venues via an indoor climate controlled pedway as well as being only a short outside walk of one block to the friendly, exuberant waterfront.
The Delta Barrington is offering the following guestroom rates for single or double occupancy: Delta Rooms at $155.00 and Premier Rooms at $165.00. Please note the above rates are net non-commissionable and are subject to the current 2.0% Halifax Regional Municipality Marketing Levy and 14% HST.

CanJet Services Discontinued!
IMPORTANT: September 5, 2006
CanJet Airlines, a division of I.M.P. Group Ltd. announced Tuesday morning that it will discontinue scheduled air services at the end of business, September 10.
CanJet will be offering full refunds on tickets that are currently booked for flights after September 10th. All CanJet flights booked after September 10th will be fully refunded by the end of the business day on September 8th by refunding the full amount to the credit card on the passenger's reservation file.
